yowzers.
well, it seems that i cannot abandon blogger altogether, i have indeed missed spending some time on this thing, and i am in dire need of an update. i do actually have a legitimate excuse this time. the wireless internet we were pirating in our apartment seems to be no longer available, and we are too broke and cheap to get our own. so i do sneak on at work every so often to check others, but no updates for me.
so, here i am at starbucks, the first time i have managed to pry my sister's beloved laptop from her tight grasp.
update in point formP:
- living with my sisters in a two bedroom basement apartment, which is actually working out great, it is cool to hang out with them, and with matt too (naomi's bf). joe especially likes the company of another guy for once! joe and i cook up a storm every night, which is pretty fun. we are both still working at our same jobs, and like them ok. not forever, but good for the time being.
- went to our friends sally and mark's wedding a few weeks ago, in rexton nb. had a really great time hanging out with all our mta people, and the wedding was a total blast, we danced up a storm. and for those of you who don't know joey that well, he can bust out some moves when he decides to! anyway, it was a beautiful, perfect day, sally looked really amazing. i took the pics at the wedding, and i will post them soon, but first i have to get them to sally, i want her to see them first. soon, i promise!!
- the whole fam took a few days off at the end of the summer and headed up to the bible camp, which was so good to relax, catch up with some old friends (cass and sarah, love you!!), and just soak in the camp atmosphere, my favourite place to be. life support was there, it was awesome to see all those guys, and God did some cool things that week. we also all went up for the teen retreat a week or two ago, which was more of the same, i love that place.
- church is awesome, when we get to go, it seems we are away a lot. God speaks every time there, and being able to worship with all those people is so great. such a welcoming family. i'm super pumped about what God is doing in our lives and my sisters and family. our kinship group meets every week too, and we have met some great people there.
- we are moving in november to housesit for a couple from our kinship, dan and lavina, who are going back to their native india for a month-long visit. they have a house in sackville ns, and a dog! we are so excited, it will be nice to be by ourselves for a few weeks and pretend we have a real house, and we would love to get our own dog, but it's not reasonable for us right now. so everyone can come and stay with us in november!!!
- we are moving!!! we recently got accepted for a position of 'therapeutic couple', basically houseparents for youth with mental illnesses. it is somewhere in maine, we are not sure where yet, and for 18 months. it is a huge answer to prayer, we came across it in the newspaper a couple of days after south korea was ruled out for us, and we didn't know what to do. it pays really well and we have basically no expenses, so we will be well on our way to paying off our humungous student loans, which i am SO thankful for! this is the kind of work we both really want to do, we get to work together, and basically we just have to be a family to and run a house for 2-3 youth with mental illnesses. we don't know what kind of illnesses, and they are pretty diverse, so we basically have no idea what to expect. anyway, come and visit us in maine!!! we do have every second weekend off and vacation time, so we will be home a few times, not to worry!
- new car. we need one. ours will not do well going to maine. i actually hate this, they are so much money, but we need to have one. i could not care less what i drive, i just want whatever is cheapest, but joe is thankfully reminding me that cheap probably will not last and do what we need it to do, so we are trying to find a happy medium! i'm trying to relax about it, 'cause God knows that we need a car, and we have known Him in every step of our lives together so far, He is not going to abandon us on this one right?
- well, as i am typing, i am realizing that i have so many more things i want to say, so maybe the blog will make a comeback, who knows!
anyway, that's quite enough for now, see you all later.

Gem and Joey.
We are so happy for you too. To be honest, we were so excited to see what God was going to do.
He took back your plans and is making them His own. He is so faithful. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
