Update

Well, I know I get raging mad when people don't update their blogs frequently, and yet i'm realizing that i am one of those people. Right now 'raging' doesn't really look like a word to me, funny how that happens.
Anyhoo... i do admire those people who consistently post hilarious accounts of everyday occurances on their blogs, and i also admire those with lots and lots of pictures, but i do have two problems.

one, i simply have not been blessed with that witty humour one needs when writing a blog, and two, i don't have too many exciting things to take pictures of right now!!

as for the update, not too much to report on either! we are still in halifax, and one month later, also still unemployed. now, this is not really a good situation, as we are pretty much out of what money we did have, and we also are bored to tears. days off are nice, but usually only when you have days on in between. otherwise they just all look the same. so we've pretty much walked all around halifax, frequented all parks, window shopped in every window, gone to the library, and done everything else that is free, and now we would like to work!

looking back, if i did it again, i would rethink our strategy. both of us ideally wanted to work youth care jobs, and if not that, i would like to do some office admin work, if possible, monday to friday. i've never actually had a non-shift work job, and i think it would be a really nice thing to have weekends off. anyway, so we applied for these jobs first, then call centres were my next line of attack, and finally restaurants. i have served before, and had a really bad experience with a manager, so i was kind of scared to try it again. only now, all the restaurants have already hired for the summer anyway, so bad timing for that. so, a bazillion resumes and several false hopes later, still nothing. i guess wendy's-tim horton's is my next attack plan. is a degree worth absolutely nothing??

so, i'm not too sure what this month was for, what was it there to teach me? it certainly has been challenging, but we both feel that God does have some plan for us, and we are really seeking as to what that is. it has been hard, but often when we are at the end of ourselves and our resources, that is when we are free and open to what He is trying to tell us. i pray that is true for us, and hopefully we'll have better news next posting!!!
